Boxed Blooming with Kindness

I made a little box for my cards, (easy using the simply scored scoring tool).

I also made matching envelopes using the diagonal scoring plate but I forgot to photograph them. These are all the cards that go inside.

Blooming with Kindness card set

I made this little set of 3" x 3" cards, envelopes and box a while ago but forgot to post it.  I used the Blooming with Kindness stamp set which I love, it is especially great for quick cards as it has a beautiful flower image and sentiments, the colour scheme is primrose petal and crumbcake. For the first card I stamped the flower onto scrap paper before stamping on to the card to give a lighter image.

I used the pricking template and pricking tool (sorry the proper name has completely deserted me!) to make the holes and did some stitching using the linen thread. For other two cards I used the dotted scallop ribbon border punch. I will show you the matching box tomorrow.

Christmas wrapping

My friend Ailsa gave me a lovely Christmas present and I just had to take a photo of the wrapping! She used the brown paper that Stampin' Up use to package all our stamping goodies. She topped this with a tag and amazing bow.

I think you will all agree that this a wrapping you can't throw away, I have saved the bow and tag although I'm not sure if I can part with the bow and put it on someone's pressie. I haven't taken a picture of the gift inside yet, a lovely shadow box, but I will.

Best of Everything

My niece was 18 in December, ( I am getting old!) and I made her this card using the Best of Everything stamp set and Memorable moments for the 18. I chose a bright colour scheme of rich razzleberry, real red, pacific point, daffodil delight, pumpkin pie and lucky limeade. Made a change from Christmas red and green! I used marker pens to colour the flowers in and topped them off with some rhinestones for a bit of bling.

I put a little pocket on the inside so I could slip some money or a gift card in. I did decorate the insert as ell, but I'd already written on it before I took the photo, duh!

Elements of Style Memo Holder

Another thing we have made in class is this little memo holder/organiser. Again base upon a you tube tutorial here, you tube is great for picking up new ideas and techniques. I put in a note book rather than post it notes.
This is the front of the holder, I used the Elements of Style stamp set (a gorgeous set) and the colour scheme is pacific point and tempting turquoise.
When you open it up, inside there's a pocket to hold receipts, messages etc and on the other side a decorated note book. I undid the pen and put some stamped whisper white inside. I don't know if you can tell in the picture but I used a white gel pen to hi-light some of the design on the note book, this is called the bandanna technique.

ATC/gift card Holder

Happy New Year! I can't believe it has been so long since I last blogged, I have been very busy, honest! We did something a little different in our Wednesday Class last week, an ATC holder from a great tutorial here.
I made it using the gorgeous Attic Boutique DSP, which has sadly retired now.
'
It has eight pockets inside to hold eight (or more) Artist Trading Cards.  The plan is to make technique ATC's when we do a technique in class and store them in our little holder.

We all loved making them, they would make great little mini albums, you can put photo's/messages inside. I am going to try making one with ordinary envelopes as well.
